Airline Prices
So, I'm in the Houston airport yesterday eating at Papadieux on my layover, when I end up seated next to this character.
Aside from claiming to be a pediatrician and to having been on Jeopardy in 1968 with Art Flemming he turned out to be a very interesting guy. So, aside from the first two singularities, he also had a package of deli meat, 1/2 pound roast beef, from Von's that he was sneaking from under the table while the waitor wasn't looking.
Now I know that 5.95 for a bowl of gumbo is sick but I've never seen anyone carry warm meat in to a restaurant and start chowing down. Even more amazing was that he asked for condiments in the form of horseradish and two types of mustard to garnish his clandestine meal. He had already eaten the 1/2 pound of cheese before he sat down, presumably on a connecting flight.
