I had the privilege to spend some of my (misspent) youth in the shadow of the Tally Ho. It was a glorious place where 300 lbs sweaty South Texas working men took refuge at the end of a long day of waiting inline to dump their grain at Producers Mill (which I believe is now
Interstate Grain Corporation). I remember the drivers would shack up there in the cold AC, with a few beers, a carton of cigarettes and if they were lucky a lady friend.
I had the opportunity to stay in the Tally Ho in 1990, it was not as nice as it is pictured in the attached picture postcard.
